Pharmacy Voice, in collaboration with Pfizer Healthy Partnerships, has released the second edition of the ‘Talking Point’ best practice publication. Launched in September last year, Talking Point is a series of publications targeted at commissioners and pharmacy teams, showcasing some of the great programmes, initiatives and individuals working to improve patient outcomes and demonstrating the value of the pharmacy sector.
The second edition of Talking Point focuses on medicines optimisation – an area in which the pharmacy workforce is already making a great contribution. In this edition you can read about how community pharmacy is supporting patients to manage their medicines, improving public health through blood pressure checks and detecting symptoms of lung cancer, and even how pharmacists are using Skype to reach more patients and provide ongoing support.
