Executive team

  • Rob Darracott, Chief Executive

    Professor Rob Darracott has led the joint representative activities of AIMp, the CCA and NPA as Pharmacy Voice Chief Executive since December 2010. Rob's wide-ranging career in pharmacy includes time spent working in the NHS, the Department of Health and eight years with Alliance UniChem. Rob is an honorary professor in the School of Pharmacy at Nottingham University and a fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

  • Elizabeth Wade, Director of Policy

    Elizabeth Wade joined Pharmacy Voice in February 2015 as the organisation’s first Director of Policy. She leads our policy development and influencing strategy, overseeing the research, analysis, planning and engagement activities that inform all our core work programmes. Elizabeth has background in health care management and research and prior to joining Pharmacy Voice she held senior positions in national health sector membership bodies including the NHS Confederation and NHS Clinical Commissioners.

  • Lucy Bassett, Business Operations Manager

    Lucy joined Pharmacy Voice in November 2015 and manages the day-to-day administration and delivery of Pharmacy Voice's internal business functions. Before joining Pharmacy Voice, Lucy was Assistant Company Secretary at Marie Curie and has a background within corporate governance in the charity sector. Lucy studied law at the University of Kent and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators.

  • Chris Ford, Public Affairs and Communications Manager

    Chris is responsible for directing our engagement with key stakeholders in Westminster and Whitehall. He Joined Pharmacy Voice in November 2015, having previously worked in public affairs roles in the water, housing and marine manufacturing sectors. Prior to his time in the private sector, he also worked for the OSCE and provided policy support for a number of MPs and the late US Senator, Ted Kennedy. Chris is a graduate of St. Andrews University, where he received various national and international scholarships for public speaking.

  • Kate Livesey, Policy and Programmes Adviser

    Kate Livesey leads the patient safety work programme at Pharmacy Voice, supporting the Patient Safety Group, and also looks at the education and training of the current and future community pharmacy workforce. Before joining the growing Pharmacy Voice team in 2015, Kate worked as a Business Development Adviser at Pharmacy Voice member company, the Company Chemists' Association and has a degree in biology.

  • John Palmer, National IT Lead

    John works closely with stakeholders within pharmacy and the wider healthcare arena to ensure community pharmacy benefits from the appropriate use of IT. Current focuses include electronic prescriptions, shared care records and overriding security issues. John has more than 10 years’ experience working in health IT, is a graduate of Manchester University, a Chartered Engineer, a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology and a PRINCE2 practitioner.

  • Joanna Spirodek, Communications and Team Coordinator

    Joanna is part of the Communication and Public Affairs teams supporting with media monitoring, parliamentary engagement and event management. She is responsible for managing Pharmacy Voice activity at the political party conferences and publication of the Pharmacy Voice annual review. Before joining Pharmacy Voice in October 2015, Joanna completed a Masters in International Relations. She has an experience in journalism and marketing and keen interest in current affairs.
